Thumbs up FAST 92/92. MT Drag radials. What do you think?

So I bought a pair of Mickey Thompson Drag radials friday. Then I just bought a FAST 92/92 about an hour ago. I hope to be in the low 12's with my set-up. What do you guys think? I should be able to hook with some practice on these new tires. I am coming from a stock LS1 intake and TB on my car!! My mod's are in my sig.

The mod bug had bit me really hard. My power is already not enough for me.

The big question I have is about the tune. How much power am I leaving on the table after the 92/92 install if I dont get a tune? I really can not afford a tune right now. I hope to really be able to feel the extra power from the FAST 92/92. What do you guys think?

Now i need a cam package THEN I will hopefully be done spending money for awhile?

Any of your guys thoughts on my Power and track times will be appreciated.

    Thanks, Ron.

But am I going to need a tune? I cant afford a tune for a few weeks really.

I could afford one, but I would be completely broke. The car is going to see HP gains regardless I know, but I dont know how much with out a tune.

I really hope the Seatofmypants Dino numbers go way up though. I need to have just alittle more power.

Who am I kidding, I will be taking back bottles to get a tune and some solid numbers by next week. Damn this car.

You would gain 15 RWHP with an LS6 intake and no tuning. I would hope that you would see at least 20 RWHP with a 92 setup and no tuning.

I was thinking even more than that really. I was hoping for 30 HP? My torque might not pick up so much, its already up there. I would be happy with 15 more RWTQ.

    Track times guesstimate?? Y2K?

I was being ultra conservative with my 20 guess

Hard to say on your track times, are you an experienced track driver?

No, I am not at all.

Never ran down the track before! I have been at the track mulitple times. But never ran the car down the 1/4.

I will probably be nervous as hell.

I can shift the car nearly flawlessing though. I def. have the hang of 1-4. Its the launch that I fucking suck at. I need help on the launch so badly. I need someone to show me how to launch my car. We will see though when the car gets the MT put on it tomorrow!

Car is probably capable of low low 12s, but with you being inexperienced and needing to improve on launching, I would bet the best you see driving it is mid 12s. Your times will improve once you get comfortable launching though

I am scared to hook on it though still!

The rear end whines at 55 MPH and up. Nothing crazy, it doesnt grind or clunk.... just whines at 55. Hopefully I dont break it. These tires are starting to scare me honestly.

Yea, I figured that. I would be happy with my launching skills and lack of track time.... a 12.3?
