Awesome commercial. To some, a car is a lifelong friend or family member. My father and I both the split bumper bodystyle. And, yes, there are times I hug my car too. I worked mein @$$ off for it.

WRONG! See 22 seconds in. It clearly shows headrests on the seats which makes that an early 70 MY. Late 70 MY had Vega style bucket seats without a separate headrest.

well asuming its all original, 70's had lowback bucks, this one had high,

    cant be '70

the grill has 5 verticle bars on each side, i believe the 70-71 had this grill whereas the 72-73 had a different more aggressive pattern in the grill so

    cant be a 72, 73

Please do not post an opinion on that which you know nothing about. "Split Bumper" option (properly referred to as the RS option for early 2nd gens) was available on any model from 70 thru the 73 MY.

very cool.... i would have to take the 2nd gen over the 5th gen.

I dont fit in the 5th gen, too tall. seat all the way back and reclined, not enough room..

the 4th gen are built perfect for my height...

I meant that because it was available for '73 that the bumper option was probably all the way from '70-'73

Like I said, stop it at the 22 second mark. Clearly shows headrests which make it an early 70's. As far as I can tell it also lacks the 3 piece rear spoiler.

No, not too bad. At least you can tell it's a Camaro 2 out of 3 times....

And at least you didn't post that RS was only available in 71MY.
