F*** yeah
I passed all of my courses with A's and B's. I'm 9 credit hours away from my A.A. in Engineering. Next up is my B.S. Degree. I can taste money. And a new F-body..
That is all

I'm transferring to a university with the A.A.
UCF gives all Valencia students with an A.A. guaranteed admission into the school.
You can always sell me yours with the whipple
Mechanical Engineering. I want to work for lockheed martin or Siemens. Anything but the HVAC side of Mechanical Engineering. I work with them everyday and let me tell you how exciting it is

I didn't know you could get an A.A. in Mechanical Engineering.
LM is a great company to work for.

I'm starting my AA next week. Congratulations. I got offered a job with Lockheed when I was getting out of the Coast Guard. Would have paid better than what I am getting now. But then again I would not be able to go for an AA. I'm on the fence about Electronics or Mechanical. Any engineers have some helpful suggestions on figuring out which fits me best?

My degree is in General Engineering, so I took at least two classes for each specific type of engineering, so I got a more broad education, rather than a specific one. I did this because I was not sure which one to pick. I came out of High School wanted to do Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer, and Material Engineering. Now that I have a degree, I STILL don't know which one I want to do...I am currently a Unix/Linux SA for the government
Personally I like Mechanical Engineering more than Electrical Engineering, considering it was not one of the four I wanted to do...mainly because mechanical can directly translate to working on cars, which, in my mind, would be a fun career (Race Car Shop or Designer for GM).
Just my $.02.

From experience:
If you get an AE degree you will be pigeon holed, for the most part, into the defense industry. While Mechanical doesn't sound as "cool" or difficult, it's essentially the same but will allow you to dual-role in defense or the 'standard' sector.
Although with AE, you'll probably be more desireable to LM, Boeing, Raytheon, Northrop, etc.
One more piece of advice. You'll never get rich as an engineer, but you can live comfortably. My company has been great to me....I've literally doubled my salary in 6 years, although I'd say I am probably in about 5% of folks that do that. Raises are very structured as are payscales in engineering. But I feel i've been very well taken care of overall and will likely retire with this company.
