I'd say that tabby is definitely dominant too. The thing is a cat ain't like a dog. They don't spar as much as they go balls out and try to kill each other. Dogs respect each others power and aren't out to hurt one another or more importantly get hurt. Cats try to kill. I have a tabby here that's an indoor/outdoor/mostly outdoor cat. Never been a cat person at all but this one is pretty cool. He was fighting with a black cat that's been running around. I saw them go at it in the back yard one day. Nasty looking fight. Mine ran the other one off but it was dicey there for a bit. The black one didn't go down easy. These country cats don't screw around.
