    ever notice?

How slow it takes the mail to get to your house when you're waiting on parts? I have a boat load of stereo stuff coming for the truck and although it's only been a couple of days it feels like a week already. That's the drawback to ordering from the web but it's hard to argue with the money savings. I haven't added everything up but I'd say I saved $200+ ordering stuff online instead of just getting it at Best Buy.

    Agree 100%.

I always find myself peeking out the window to see if the delivery guy is there each time I hear a loud engine, or checking the doorstep to see if the package has been left a million times a day. And the day drags on for so long too.

What you end up getting? I'm in the process of looking for some new 6.5" components.

alpine type s spc600c for the front and alpine type s spc500 for the rear doors. Gonna have to fab a little to get those in the rear doors. Best buy had the 600c's for $133 and the 500's for $92. I got both for $131 shipped. I went with a Kenwood Kdc-Bt945U HU. I just really liked that HU and no matter what I looked at I kept coming back to that one. I got the steering wheel control module, on star module, and all the install stuff coming too. I basically got everything for ~$450.

I'm gonna put it in and see how everything sounds.......may have an amp in my future. I want to see how this sounds first. I don't really need something that's super loud because I don't need everyone around me to hear it......I just want something that sounds decent. Think that should fit what I'm looking for. If not I'll throw an amp in there and a real small sub.

Damn, u got yourself some good deals. Should sound much better. Yes, bestbuy is a ripoff. Onlinecarstereo.com and woofersetc.com are the sites I like to go to. I'm also a member of the caraudio.com forum and there is alot of vendors/resellers on there too.

Are you gonna sound deaden your doors? If u wanna go thru the hassle, it makes a big difference.

I haven't even given that any thought.....hmmm, might be something to think about. I did consider getting baffles for the backs of the speakers to help protect them but forgot to order some. Might try to find those locally since they should be pretty cheap.
