ever have flash backs to when you did something stupid?
I have those from time to time. For no real reason I'll think back to a time when I did something really stupid and wonder how I got out of it without being dead or killing someone else.
High school. I was 16-17 and a buddy of mine was out partying. Well, his girlfriend found me riding around town after having several beers and wanted me to take her and their 3 year old son to look for him. I knew where he was but figured I'd just ride her around town until she got tired of looking and take them home. After riding around a little bit we stopped so she could ask someone where he was and in the meantime another guy pulled up and wanted to go run the cars. I had a 75 olds and I *think* he had an early 70's impala. We talked a while and decided to go line 'em up. I go out on a road with this guys girlfriend and his kid in the car and raced that guy. Stupid. Should've dumped them off somewhere and it's amazing I didn't end up killing some kid.
Header swap a few years ago. I had the car a mile up in the air on jack stands and me and a buddy were under there getting the Y-pipe into the intermediate pipe. We were both under the car kicking and yanking on this pipe and another buddy of mine and my wife started yelling and screaming to get out from under the car. I guess the whole car was moving around on the stands. Probably should've died from that one too. Stupid.
Rear swap last year. I had the front up on ramps and the rear on stands. When I took the last bolt out of the rear ( forget what I took off last, maybe torque arm) the car started rolling backwards off the ramps but stopped with the fronts half over the lip of the ramps and the stands under the sub frames were both leaning waaaay back. Scared the piss out of me and it's a wonder the car didn't come all the way down the ramps. Fronts on ramps was a stupid decision.
There are a hundred other stupid ones I think about from time to time. Racing with the kid in the back seat is probably in the top 3 as far as being the worst thing I've ever done.

i think about these kinds of things every time i look in the mirror. the worst is hearing that someone died or was badly hurt doing the same thing you may have done. really makes you feel like an asshole.....

I was a bully as a child and I often look back with regret to the pain I caused.
I am sure flashbacks will be next as I have it coming!

Every time I put on my shoes. The built up heel on the left is because of something really stupid that I did which caused my left leg to be broken into 3 pieces.
