Where are some good stores or places online to find engagement rings? Who offers the option to upgrade at later dates? How much did you spend on an engagement ring?

i have a girl's phone number in pittsburgh, pa. she's a diamond dealer and can actually make you a ring if you'd like. Color won't be as bright-but she's WAY cheaper than a store bought piece.

i bought her diamond at a diamond store, i cant remember which one but it was in denver. then bought the setting at jared. the total amount was around $4300. the center diamond is 1.04k, total diamond weight is 1.29k set in 14k white gold.

i wouldnt buy something like that online, i wouldnt purchase something that expensive that would be goin to the girl ure going to propose to...without actually seeing it. thats my two cents...

if ur girl is a gem buff like i am

remember the three Cs when buyin a diamond, and make sure u know the right metal she likes, like i hate gold... so its either platinum, white gold or silver for me.

oooohhh and also if u can find a local jeweler where you live, u can have a diamond ring custom made for her, that would blow her away! are u going with a soiltare? if she has a favorite gem like saphire/ruby it would be nice to throw them in on the side! or on the band. i want a cart heart shaped diamond with two blue saphire stones on each side a princess cut. or i want a heart soiltare with a diamond band.

she's got a point-take your girl ring shopping. Remember, she'll be the one wearing it, so she should have a say in what it looks like-i did that with michelle and i'm glad I did b/c i was WAY off with what I would have bought.

thats such a sad statistic, its the fact that its true that makes it so sad! id love to google to see if anyone has studied why marriages fail these days...

i think the main reason is people marry the wrong person.

people also get married TOOO young and TOOO quickly not to mention no adays divorce is convenient, unlike 'old times' where you'd be persecuted by the church if you divorced.
