End of the world?
I've been meaning to post this. Anyone else starting to somewhat believe the 2012 thing? I mean lets look at what's happend in the past few months...
Earthquake in haiti
Earthquake in chile
Earthquake in california
Earthquake in china
Volcano smoke in iceland (possible eruption soon).
Then to throw on top of it, all the crazy weather we've had, for instance all the blizzards back on the east coast.
just seems like a crazy year so far...oh, and if i missed anything on that list, feel free to fill in

Yea, the weather is getting kinda crazy this year. But I dont believe the whole 2012 thing. I saw an news report where they talked with a few historians of the Mayan religion. According to them, the ancient Mayans were NOT predicting the end of the world in 2012. The date that everyone believes is the end of the world, is actually just a huge holiday for them to celebrate the return of their god or something. It's kinda like our Easter or Christmas, except it only happens like every 1,000 years or so.

if the world ends, we all go to mars and become mining slaves. and you are the only one who can't take your postcount to the martian mines. everybody else gets their postcount tripled, and those who survive the mines get a 1000 posts bonus together with their antennas.

You think this end of the world stuff is only a bandwagon???
Well you're gonna get a big ass "I told you so" during the heat death of the universe in 10superscript100 years
Is it actually red?
It's not is it? I knew it. The nasa fags just photoshop the pics because it looks boring and exactly like the moon and they needed for the public to be able to differentiate the two.
Psh why even bother spending millions of dollars going to mars when they could just photoshop the moons pictures instead of the mars pictures... would look exactly the god damn same.
wait...
going to mars....
money could be put else where....
photoshop moon pictures.....
....
mars as we know it could possibly not even exist... only in our minds and as edited moon pics...

You have no idea what you're talking about. Our government is full of a bunch of people who have our best interests in mind and are completely honest guys. They would never do anything to trick us and steal our money like that.

Someone asked this elsewhere and the response was that statistically there isn't any increase in the frequency or severity of earthquakes over previous historical periods for which records have been kept. The reason the media blitz on earthquakes is so huge right now is because of the death toll and monetary costs associated with the quake in Haiti. When these quakes are centered in unpopulated areas or occur in highly advanced places of the world and the death toll is at or near 0 then the media couldn't care less, usually just a mention in between segments or something.
When a big loss of life occurs though, every earthquake is suddenly major and compared to the one where all those people died..... till everyone forgets about the one where all those people died and the world moves on till the next big catastrophe.... need I remind you all of how every storm after Katrina was compared to Katrina for a while there??? Even if it was just drizzling in Wyoming they would at least mention Katrina for a while there.
