I have a car there that is owned by me. Someone who works there, is four payments behind on our written contract. I dont have and cant find a single home address for him...EDS is a secured access campus. I tried to talk my way into the place by explaining the situation but they would have none of it. I need my car back...this asshole really owes me,

Are you sure? I talked to the Garland Auto Theft unit (Because I thought he lived in Garland) and they told me it was a civil issue that they could not intervene with....Could I get in some deep shit, if I just call Plano PD and attempt to gain access to EDS?

how is it a civil issue if you have a legal binding contract? if laws are being broken then a crime is being commited, is it not? As far as contacting Plano PD, go for it. you have nothing to lose by doing so. If that avenue doesn't work see about retaining an attorney and see what your options are. most attorneys will offer a free consultation and free advise so look into that as well before retaining one.

Do you know his hours? Wait for him to leave work and approach him, and let him know how you feel. You did state that you two had a written agreement. If he signed the agreement then he must live up to his contract. With the written agreement, if he still doesn't want to live up to his end of the deal, you may want to take him to court.

i would and confront him personally, but he's sort of edgy and I imagine that he'd get confrontational...not to say I couldnt whip his ass....but what if the cops show up...I know the car is mine, and I would have the title with me, but in this case are the cops gonna tell him to give me the car back or what? I imagine if I assaulted the guy for the car, it wouldnt help my situation either.

An assualt would not help the situation at all, you could possibly be arrested or he may damage the car. Have an officer go with you to his place of employment, and letting the officer know that you want the car back, and have the written agreement with you to show the officer. Tell the officer that you want the car, or it will be reported stolen. If you do confront him you may want an officer there to keep the situation calm. I really think that law enforcement needs to be notified.

Got off the phone with Plano PD again. They said I can send a Certified Deman Letter to his work (through them) for immediate return of the car, if no response is given in 5-10 days. Plano PD can pick it up from there and judging on by all the paperwork i provide them, they will make the call on how to gain access to EDS to return the car, or have some words with this jackoff.
