2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
4.3? Being originally from Los Angeles, to me that's nothing. Wouldn't do more than make the hanging plants sway a bit.
Get it up over 6.0 and now we're talking. Waking up with the feeling you're in a boat is tons of fun.

It was downgraded to a 3.8. I live in Minooka, IL and it woke me up at 4:00am this morning. First it felt like a really strong wind, then my whole house shook. First time I've ever felt an earthquake.

ooo im glad it wasn't felt in STL. we had a couple big ones back in early 09 and i had never felt an earthquake before - first one we had was at like 330 am and it woke me up and i had NO idea what was going on so i ran into my mom's room so fast, i ran over the vacuum cleaner, broke my toe and by time i made it to my mom's room, it was already over. i should have just stayed put. i hate earthquakes

Pewter- 2001 Camaro Z28 M6
i live in crystal lake and felt....
regarding the 4.3 is nothing... yes its nothing compared to the activity of the San Andrea fault line, however the New madrid Fault, here in IL, is considered the strongest.
When the big one hits IL, KS, IA, etc...chicago will crumble and the mississippi will open up wide.
Its been 100 years+ since New madrid has shown this much activity, a new cycle could be starting. (1800s, had their share of 8+magnitudes)

true....
either way we are both fucked.
San Andreas will break off half of california creating hundreds of islands.
new madrid will sink chicago, and spilt the USA in half with the Miss.River.
with the way chicago is built, chicago will go down faster then a 5cent whore on nickle night.

Heh... true. But, to people who have never experienced a quake, I'll bet it rattled some nerves to say the least.
Shoot, I got red tagged in the Northridge rattler. Didn't feel like any boat ride I've ever been on
Although, I will say that the 'rolling' ones are much more relaxing

Just put her in front of a buffet.
I was in So Cal about a year or so ago during one of the 3-4 rated ones.
We were in the car at a traffic light and it shook the car like the draft from a semi.
We didn't realize it was a quake until we were back in the office and saw the news.

Yeah. With those, I used to just sit back and watch the water in my fish tanks slosh back and forth and pour out the sides and hanging lamps and plants sway.
But, the ones that Jolt! Not so much. The 94 quake had my 90 gallon fly up and land on it's bottom over 6' from the stand and totally shatter! That was a heavy tank. Threw my ass right out of bed to the ground too
I don't like earthquakes anymore. Not even the rolling ones I used to just go with it. Now, after being in a quake that took my home and destroyed so much... I'm out the door as soon as I feel a tremor
