Dumb Little Kids

So me and John_Stout, are in Mephisto on Saturday night.
We pull up to the station to get gas...

about 6 kids on bicycles are standing there and one asks
"how fast can your mustang go?"

john is sitting in the car and starts cracking up....

I say "oh my CAMARO will run about 150-160"

Kid says "Oh do you know my brother" proceeds to tell me who is brother is...

I say "yes"

kid then says "yeah I bet his crx would smoke this car"

I managed to contain my laughter until I go back in the car and started it up.

Kids jaw dropped to the ground, when he heard it revv.

had to give the kid a show when we pulled away.

CRX smoke Mephisto.....

maybe with enough stickers....just maybe

Yea I told them it ran 160 befor the turbos. That james was pushin 850 whp because his brother told me that he built a 750 hp nissan 350z but when I asked who tuned it he said I havent had it tuned....

I said reallly what cams did you use he said we just used stock cams so

Any way the whole thing about how fast does you mustang run just topped the cake for me...

wow. when I was young my friends and I all saw v8's as the holy grail. even when we all gt our licenses and we had the imports, we still knew not to mess with the big boys. kids these days.

I meant we where not delusional. my 91 TSI Talon was fast but just because it could beat cougars and v6 mustangs did not mean if I put a cat back on it could beat an ls1.

talons are fun. any dsm is fun to me. I like messing with them though. there is a 320hp one around here that is pretty fun to run. I still beat him every time though. lol.

john is cool....but only because he has a killer turbo setup...if he was stock...I'd make him buy at least a mustang gt...

yeah. I don't hate on hondas. alot of my friends are into them. a few of them are into the swaps with the new motors into older crx's and such. they make for quick cars that way, but for the most part hondas aren't race cars and even with a turbo they don't do good at the strip. heck I beat a 500hp rsx because he had a 2.6 60'. lol.
