A free trip to jail, court fees, lawyer fees, and higher insurance premiums. Never got one but I had a bunch of buddies in the Military get them.

Friend of mine got his 2nd dui in pa in 5 years,I hope no jail. Lawyer said something about house arrest for 90 days,I thought dam,did you run over some1?? He has nothing on his record except the other dui,I think its a little extreme.

I had a DWI about 25 years ago. Not a fun experience to say the least. Costs too much money and jail is not fun. Just remember, if you are going to drink, don't drive.

I have learnt from the mistakes of my friends aswell.
Here in Canada if you have one it equals a criminal record and the can be refused entry to the USA.
Not worth the risk.

Went to South Padre on spring Break in 96 and got a DUI. Spent the night in jail at Port Isabella, because Padre's jail was full from all the spring breakers, so they transported me to Isabella. It was a little scary. I had to drive all the way back down to Padre from Austin for court. They gave me
1275 dollar fine
250 court fee
took my license for 6 months
Had to be evaluated at a Alcohol and Drug center to see if I had a problem
Had to take a course about Drinkin and driving which was 6 Saturdays in a row 4 hours per class
Had to make a hospital visit to see all the alcohol related accidents one night. That scared the shit out of me. It is pretty intense to see some of the alcohol realted shit that comes into an ER.
Insurance went up 200 dollars a month!
Parents almost killed me...(I am lucky to be alive today!)
It just is not worth it. Its hard to find designated drivers, but it is better than killing yourself or worse.....someone else.

Why would they make you go to classes if they want to see if you have a problem? Im sure the state really gives a shit about your personal life, just another fee$$$$ Its all about money
