I know when i downshift manually i shoot a lil blue flame out.. so says my friends following me..

and i saw this on youtube..

i thought about running a couple of NOS fuel 'noids and some spark plugs to do this...(simplefied)

run spark plugs in to your exhaust... the spark will ignite the unspent fuel and make "flames" come out... also a great way to burn up your bumper and your car as well...

I wouldn't think it would light... The % of ignitable substance coming out the exhaust is probably too low compared to anything else to combust, kind of like opening up a firecracker and pouring out the black powder on a table and trying to light a few grains of it... doesn't work

the way it is usually done is for you to run a ignition interruptor switch. then you use a spark plug with its own small coil in your exhaust. when the switch is thrown it lets raw fuel pass by while also igniting the coil and plug in your exhaust.

i didnt hear sound of video but most like it has some kind of injection system. On carb'd vehicles you would install a ign kill button. You would rev up to like 5000rpm then hit button, the button killed the ign system while also makin a set of spark plugs in the tail pipes ignite the unburnt fuel. Its a cool show piece but ruins motor oil due to gas washing on cylinder walls.

Ok i think thats all i know.......watched it on trucks(spike tv)

problem with fuel injected cars is when you kill the ign system it will cut fuel injectors.......ive had this problem b4........you can get around it if you really want to i guess......but is it worth the xtra wear and tear?

i've always thought it was its separate injection and ignition system

When I got the 402 swap finished I ran the car over the exhaust shop...open headers.
On the way home with the duals hung up, my old man was following me....told me it shot flames several times.
I later figured out why...hanging valves open can do it.
