Drove the c6 z06 today !!!!
Well, i usually dont get scared driving cars and ive done my fair share of stupid sh*t when driving. I have to admit that the car is extremely easy to drive, very comfortable to me and at first i thought the power would rip your head off but its not hard to control at all. At just 2800-4500 rpms WOT the car accelerates INSANE, lol.
I thought man im about to hit the rev limiter i should start getting ready to shift and to my suprise im only at 4500 rpms. I was shocked as to how quickly it picks up speed at such low rpms but if you keep it below 3k normal driving if you even need to go that high your more then comfortable with the car. Seats are very good, braking was excellent. I thought they would be grabby at first but not at all. Also the steering is VERY light this car is made to do what it does well but without torchering you at the same time.
Only complaint is the the car is obviously too low and even at an angle you will scrape. I also noticed when i was at a stop when i lift off the clutch i heard this wierd noise coming out back like a metal slap noise or a clank and only when i let off the clutch in nuetral, dont know what it was maybe it was just that car. Anyway this was a long a** story but i was excited that i got a opportunity to drive a Z06, my dream car no doubt.Last edited by karpetcm; 09-17-2009 at 11:05 PM.

Well, the tranny is in the back of those cars, so hearing the noise coming from there isn't suprising....

I know about the tranny, just wasnt expecting it to be a loud clank or slap noise as you let off the clutch. I didnt notice the sound when i was driving it, maybe due to other sounds coming from the car like engine and exhuast but when you start driving it you forget about it. I really loved the car and its very rare for me to drive any car and not have atleast a few complaints about it. The list of complaints on the Z06 is just maybe that sound i heard which could be just for that Z06 i drove which still wasnt bad and it being low other then thats its an excellent car and a very good daily driver.

black- 2000 nhra edition formula
I had the pleasure of driving a new Z06 this past July.
The car is a rocket, man is it fast.
My only beef with that car is that the inside of the car looks very cheap.2000 nhra edition formula

the interiors suck on them. i hate the way the seat will crack even with little driving of them but luckily mine is holding up pretty good still. they only thing i could possibly complain about my c6z is the damn payment.

We may have had this convo before.......I do believe we have.... in fact I know we have. But how far are you from Ft. Lost in the Woods (Leonard Wood) I was there for Basic Training in 2000 and drove through St. Louis on the way home. Only time I was in Missouri and guess what....I loved it except for basic
