Droid X 2.2 now with more flash!!!!!

So the update has been leaked! 2.2 absolutely FLIES!!!! I'm impressed with how smoothly flash runs. chrome to phone is a really really neat trick and google voice search works flawlessly.... imagine... tap a button and say something like:

e-mail Spaz, hey spaz what's going on. I'm heading out to the track, feel like snapping your toothpick axles? send.

or tap the button and say:

play dragonforce.

it's like Fords MS sync for cell phones!!!

Chrome to phone? looking at something on the PC? want it on your phone? just click the button up in the corner of your browser and with no intervention POOF!!! it comes up on the phone! no not over USB.... no not over Wifi.... right through the cell network over your google account!

head over to droid life if you have an X and want the update. It's not supposed to come out for about another 2 weeks.

Pardon my stupididty but am I supposed to get this update on my old school G1?

i don't think so. I think the G1 is an EOL device. EOL = End Of Life. It takes some beefy hardware to run flash adequately. The Droid X has a 1Ghz OMAP CPU and a much more capable GPU than the G1.

Of course I may be wrong but the G1 is getting close to being 2 years old if i'm not mistaken.

Everyone hear about the 1.2 Ghz Dual Core smartphones coming before the end of 2010??? I can't wait for my next upgrade!!!

I was at Best Buy a few days ago and looked at the Droid X and Droid 2 and the Droid 2 is smaller, which I like because the Droid X is HUGE!!

Mine updated today. Now I have three pics at the bottom of the main screen and can't figure out how to scroll the damn thing to see my other apps.

wait.... your X updated today????? the update AFAIK isn't out.. Moto and VZW kept saying early sept.

Droid X isn't too big.. I hardly notice it in my pocket. The screen makes it look large. It's actually slimmer and lighter than my original Droid. Even with the larger screen the overall footprint of the phone is only slightly larger.

My Droid updated 2 days ago. I have the "old" school Droid. I guess I like the update, theres some cool things.

yes the "old school" Droid has been updating for some time now. the X isn't scheduled till Sept.

Be sure to hunt down the .apk file that installs flash on the phone and get the chrome to phone and voice search apps

By far, the coolest app on my phone is Google Sky Maps -- it's a free download. Has a search function, night mode, etc...

I have a Task Killer -- not sure if it is advanced. It was also a free download and works great. I wish I could delete all the pre-loaded crap, ie Twitter, Facebook and such, but it will not let me uninstall them.

Im with ya i tried to delete facebook, myspace and all the other junk man but no luck on my part either.

Wait the x didn't already have voice search texting etc already loaded? I thought that was on everything running 2.1
