Drifting
Aight so I LOVE to drift. I have done it a couple times in my Trans AM but I don't like the idea if drifting a Firebird at all! Can you guys give me some ideas of good drift cars to buy that wouldn't be more than maybe $4,600? I don't care if its an American made car or not. If you guys look on craigslist just keep in mind that I live in AZ. Thanks.

Nissan 240, probably best light weight cheap drift car... But I am an American guy, I would pick up a 3rd gen.

Black- 99 WS.6 - Modified
Fox body mustangs arent too bad. older rear wheel drive imports are pretty cheap and should work well too.
It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

Why don't you like the idea of drifting a bird? They're not as well balanced or light as they typical drift car, but the power oversteer on demand helps I'm sure

I always thought my old Trans Am was easy to drift... It was natural, lol.

I think i have an idea pertaining to why you don't want to drift your t/a, but i'd go for a 91-97 240sx, an AE86 Corolla, or a 2nd gen rx-7.

I don't think thats quite a collectors car, please, correct me if im wrong, but if i can remember correctly, i read in my firebird book when i was younger that in 1994 they actually made more T/A GT's than base t/a's. Again, i could be completley wrong, and please correct me if I am because im too lazy to google it.
And I was just thinking he might not want to drift it because he may not want to run the risk of wrecking his car.

Fast google, http://www.thepontiactransampage.com/production.html
Edit: NVM that site says two different things... To my understanding the GT was only made for one year and in limited numbers.Last edited by SHines-IT; 02-02-2010 at 06:18 PM.

Lots of people saying 240's....
There are still ones that exist that haven't been wrapped around a tree/streetlight?
