I went to Fuel Slut (The Corner) 2 weeks ago and last night. (local Orlando car meet)

All the guys at the meet were pretty cool, and didn’t talk any shit. Despite the rumors about Fuel Slut.

My car is a 2002 Z28 A4.

All I have done is a SLP Lid, No Cats, cut off half of the Exhaust, and 3.42 gears. I am on Street Tires.

Stock Manifolds, stock transmission, stock motor, etc…

Everybody says my car is a factory freak! The one guy with the GTP said he wants to buy my car. LOL

After the races they were looking for a nitrous kit, because they said they never saw a stock LS1 pull like that.

My secret is when we run from 40 or 50 mph, I put the car in 2nd gear, and the rpms shoot way up, then I floor it, then shift it into regular drive right before the rev limiter. That way it doesn’t have any dead spots, and takes off like a manual.

My list of defeats.

06 GTO Intake, Exhaust, Drag Radials. Beat it 4 times in a row. 40-50 rolls.

Fox body Mustang modified. Beat it 2 times. 50 rolls.

Pontiac GTP Intake, Exhaust, Pulley. Beat it 2 times. Dig, and 50 roll.

Then for fun I raced a LS1 Camaro with a Cam, and a Converter, and a modified Z06 Corvette. 50 roll.

I kept up with them pretty good for a while, but then they pulled a few cars on me. They thought I had nitrous. LOL

The race against the Camaro and Z06 is on video, they will put it up in a few days.

Yeah I do that when I pass folks on the road..

2nd in an A4 is usually considered "Passing gear"..

Well you do'nt sound stupid and it is generally bad to shift an auto. However it's usually only hard on them if you're using the gears to slow down.. As long as your in the gas and know where your limiter is you wont hurt it. It's OK to carry gears a little longer and shift UP through the gears manually or pull it down into 2nd to pass someone again mindfull of the limits of each gear..

We did both get a little drunk at a bar a few months ago, and I talked her into kissing me a little bit, even though my Mom was right around the corner, and almost caught us. LOL

It was a small kiss, nothing great.

I don’t think she will do anything more with me, she says I am too young.

When I wear my tight American Eagle shirts, she does check me out a lot though. LOL

Yep most auto's the ecm is programed to shift long before the limiter. Holding gears longer is a common practice and common knowledge. That's why the other gears other than drive,N,R, are accessable to the driver..

im suprised you beat a i/e gto. must be one hell of a factory freak or bad gto driver because my friend has an intake and full exhaust gto and he dont do to bad against me.

It is one hell of a factory freak.

People at the meet had me start it up so they could listen for a cam, they looked at the number on my heads, and they also looked for a nitrous kit.

They couldn’t believe it is all stock. Stock manifolds too!
