I disagree. An acronym like 'radar' is a word specifically derived from a technical or product phrase with a new, specific meaning. 'OMG' is just an abbreviation with no new inherent meaning created by lazy teenagers for faster texting. That's what makes 'radar' different from 'omg', and why it's ok to have radar as a word but not omg. Pathetic bastardization of the language.
