not really, i do have one 'friend' who even introduces me as her 'brother' sometimes, beause we are that close, but i could get a hookup anytime i wanted, i just dont because, well, do not want.

Hmmm, maybe because I consider my self gay... I get more g/f's who we end up being good friends, who in turn share the guy stories (Guy she wanted, never had)... I have worked myself out of the friend zone several times.

Even my wife... We dated a few times the end of 1988, then she went back to her boyfriend and I went back to the three girls I was dating. She was much younger and in college and I ended up in the friend zone... It was frustrating... I even went down to her school to see a play she was in and she didn't even have time to get coffee with me, I was blwon off and crushed.

However when summer came around we hung out for almost a month and she wouldn't even kiss me... We held hands sometimes and spoend a couple of hours together most days but I was getting noplace fast.

Then one night we did not see each other and my future wife, along with some her her girlfriends went to a party... She met a guy named Franz. evidently Franz had the same ideas that I had and he laid a big kiss on her and that move by Franz saved my butt.

My furure wife decided she didn't want Franz kissing her when she could be with me.

The very next night my future wife and I ended up in bed together and that was twenty years ago (we have been married for 19 years). Thank you Franz.

On a serious note OP, I heard a quote not to long ago and agree with it 100%. It stated:

"Friendship can turn into love, but love can hardly turn into friendship"

Basically, don't destroy a good friendship just because you wanted to get your dick wet for a few weeks. There a millions of other use-and-lose females for that. Most people have a hard time being mature and cordial with their ex's, let alone having a substantial non-romantic relationship after the fact, regardless of whether or not a friendship existed before the romance.

Friend zone usually means you're screwed, but at least you are friends with her and depending on the girl, it can increase your chances. So I wouldn't lose hope, but don't expect action to happen anytime soon. How determined are you, is the real question and you better not be afraid of getting disappointed in 3 years and you have gotten no where.

I've not had a lot of close female friends because once they hit puberty, they lose their sanity and to top it off; my sisters made fun of me non stop if I looked a girl. It's like they wanted me to be gay. "Timmy likes Jessica!" etc...u get the picture.

Iroc is right, love hardly ever turns to friendship, so decide if it's a friend you are willing to lose.
