Does anyone wave to other ls1's-ls7's while on the road?

Okay here is my issue. I was driving today in my SS and a guy in a new orange GTO passes me. Being the nice guy that I am, I waved to him only to have him laugh at me. Just yesterday I passes a guy in a silver GTO and waved and he politely waved back. Am I missing something here or am I just a creature of habit? Yes I know the newer GTO's have more power, but does that mean you GTO guys and gals are better than the rest of us? Now I can understand if it was a mustang or a riced out honda, but come on. Just thought I would vent.

I wave to everyone, even if it is dark, I forget that they can't see me. I usually give a thumbs up to people in other muscle cars, or even just spiffy lookin trucks.

Lol.. I do either the fingers up from the steering wheel thing.. or if the window is open I put the hand out the window. Unless they riced out the car horriably.. then I point and laugh...

Yesterday after getting my car washed, I went into town and parked in the usual hang out area when a kid pulled up in his 96 z28, we shot the shit for awhile and talked about eachothers cars. It was pretty cool meeting someone that knew what they were talking about. I figure I'll see him again sometime and see if we can run 'em. sounds funny but he is pretty much the only other 4th gen f-body that ive seen in town.

yeah I know, I usually always do it myself but I was feeling lazy, so I ended up waiting an hour in line at the carwash place to get the touch-free wash and it pretty much came out just as dirty as it was before.

    F-Body Fever...

I always give some kind of nod or wave to other f-body or muscle car owners. Vette owners seem to be the ones most likely to respond to any kind of attention, and give the same back.

Friday on the way to work I had a young kid in an old, beat up Nissan Maxima point to my car and laugh hysterically -- I was driving my '00 T/A (which is very hot looking, I think). Anyway, at first I was thinking he was laughing at my car, then I realized I had just washed it and he must have seen his reflection in the fender...made me feel better anyway. I mean, would you laugh at this...

I'm wondering, do they really though? For daily driving, is a stock LS2 GTO really that much noticeably faster or more powerful than a 4thGen LS1?
