I always wear it and always have. Feel naked w/out it.
Although I really dont understand that in IA, there's a seatbelt law, but no helmet law.

Always! Not so much for protection but more to keep my ass in the seat. And it's the law here in PA...I buckle it and pull it tight everytime I saddle up so to speak..

Always. Why would someone not? Pretty basic physics in play. Well ok, sometimes if I am going around the block maybe not, and when I pull into a parking lot or other low speed area, it comes off instantly.

After so many years with a seat belt law, it's habit to put it on. It feels strange to drive without it.

I've always worn my seatbelt, I feel wierd without it. I guess it goes back to being a kid, I remember my mom wouldn't leve the driveway unless we all had our seatbelts on.
With so many crashes where people would have survived had they been wearing a seatbelt, I really don't understand why anyone WOULDN'T wear it.

Stupid not to isn't it?
Oh yeah, we'll get someone on here that will say they have a friend would have died if he had it on. How do you prove that?Last edited by rbob93; 07-31-2009 at 04:00 AM.

Always. If I get a ticket for not wearing one in the truck I will not only get a ticket but a 2 day suspension. You never know what is gonna happen so I wear that sucker. I used to not wear it and looking back after operating a Heavy Wrecker and cleaning up numerous accident scenes I was a FOOL.

As a couple of members have already said -- I just do not feel right in a car unless I have the seatbelt on. I have actually pulled rear seat cushions in friend's cars to dig out the belts. My best friend's '70 Dart simply has lap belts. Not having the shoulder belt also makes me uncomfortable.

Besides, generally speaking, a seat belt helps keep the body in the car. Rather than then haveing to carry around the 2'x2'x4' disaster box and shovel to round your parts up over a couple of hundred yards...
