Do you like salt on your watermelon?

I can't freaking stand it, but my wife salts the crap out of every piece of watermelon she eats. So does my dad and both sets of my grandparents. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT??? I have a good idea: Let's take a delicious, ice cold, freshly cut hunk of juicy sweet watermelon and turn it into a cardiac risk I don't get it.

    Sadly now demodded :(

You have no category for me. I usually do not use salt but on occasion I do salt watermelon but very lightly.

Watermelon and feta cheese. It's actually a very good combination

And btw, I never tried salt with watermelon, but now that you mention it I might give it a try!

    No F N salt!

There is more than enough salt in our diets already added to foods.

The condiment of table salt on the table at your local restaurant should be a thing of the past imo.

I agree, why would you take something that is sweet and make it taste salty?
When I eat watermelon I eat because its sweet, but that's just me.

This thread is awsome. I had never heard of salting a watermelon untill like a month ago when my new g/f was doing it. I just gave her the weirdst look like WTF are you doing. She then looked back at me and said what you don't salt your watermelon. Hell no I don't salt my watermelon. She did get me to try it and I will never do it again totally ruins the watermelon.
