absolutly, i know if my kid mouthed off to me when he was under 12 i would slap the shit out of his mouth. and there going to remember that slap and pain when there about to do something stupid next time.

here is an example, my GF's kids (boys) one will start something with the older one like calling him names and throwing shit at him, then the older one will get up and blast him with a total beat down and make him cry. i just look at the younger one and say sorry about your luck dont fuck with people that are bigger then you next time and you wont get hurt.

infant? i mean like 5-10 range when they are starting to learn new words, here is an example.

here is where i would slap my kids in the face, have you ever seen that show where the nanny comes in cause the kids are so bad?? when there cussing there parents out and saying they wish they were dead and someone would kill them? thats when i would slap the absolute shit out of them.

I got my ass whooped and turned out fine...I don't see why kids today would be any different. Being spanked and being beat are two different things though...go too far in either direction and the kid will turn out jacked up. Like my nephew, my sis is too easy on him and he's a little turd.

i never got spanked or beat as a kid, and i'm really thankful for that. i was raised with love and reason. worked pretty well... so no, i don't believe in violence!

hell yes!! I am glad i got spanked otherwise i would be a drug addict, dead or in prison now or i would not able to finish the school. I am very happy i got spanked and i believe in spanking kids. I just don't believe in beat to hell out of them. Sometimes you just have to spank them to get them do something right. they are "KIDS" they don't know better.

i have spanked my children on extreme occassions. I prefer to use other methods. This is a question I continuous ask myself. I know It was a rare occasion my mother spanked us but she did and we are all fine - but I am not a strong believer in it but yes I have spanked my kids. and it is effective but I still will always try other methods first.

And I always hear arguements for both sides - just difficult to always know if you are doing the right thing. I myself know I experiece guilt when I do so it is not my favorite or first form of punishment.
