well i was on my way home from the bar and got a little crazy on a country road that connects to my neighborhood. I turned right onto this street from our major road (u.s.40) and got on it cause there is never a cop in this area... got to about 100 and let off.. turned into my neighborhood and coasted to my friends house, who i was dropping off... next thing i know i see red and blues in my rear view. I was like.. 'shit im going to jail' i was not hammered or drunk, but had a few drinks.... cop came to my window and asked why he pulled me over... I said "i dunno' he said well i clocked u at 97 mph.. I was scared shitless cause my buddy was hammered and the car reaked of boose.. long story short.. he let me go witrh a verbal waring which was... "don't fucking speed when the roads are about to freeze over" (exact words).. counting my lucky stars

That's funny! I would have pitched your ass in my patrol car and let your buddy take pictures with his cell phone while laughing his ass off. And while your sitting in a cell for 24 your buddy would be driving your car to take out your girlfriend, bail you out, and take you to your AA classes.OOohhhh suck!

If I'm going out for a good time the Camaro stays home. I'm much less likely to drive like an asshole in the Suburban.

Isnt it odd that most of the stories I read about where people are let off with warnings or light fines... its almost always when there speeding like 100+, me included and 2 of my friends for some reason? Does anyone think its weird that they care to give us fines when were doing 15mph over the speedlimit, but seem to be nice when we do 55mph over.? LOL knock on wood now btw

When I was younger (80's) lol, I was home on leave with my 71 Cali Volkwagen bug.

Had too many to drink and 3 too many people in the bug and the cop pulled me over and told me to put my headlights on.

We bullshitted around cuz he hadn't seen me since I went in the Air Force 3 years prior. I was a town pet........lol.

The assholes lay and wait for me now for some reason. I don't go anywhere now if I've had more than one. I play games with them as it is sober and that's risky.

I have noticed this. My one and only speeding ticket came from doing 49 in a 45 in a 97 Monte Carlo.

However, I've had a cop in an unmarked car race me, then flash his lights and give me a thumbs up after I beat him on the highway in the LS1.

LOL. The I've kidded around with my neighborhood cop that I wanted to race the Cop Dodge Charger. He laughs about it but, I can tell he really wants to. I'll see if I can coax him into the deserted straight aways near by. Could get my ass beat but, how many would be able to say like what you said? Would be worth it to me.

I forever learned not to even think about drinking and driving. Even 2 drinks and you risk a DUI these days guys. Trust me. Regardless, speeding at this time of the year in a rwd performance car is asking for a big time accident.

I was once going over... about 40 over... and the cop pulled me over and said... "if you were driving a civic i'd give you a ticket, nice 5.0... but slow down."

it was like 3am in a desolate street...
