Difference between corvette and f body?

I love my ws6, but I have always wondered how much different a c5 feels, is the handling much better? Is it really any faster? How much better is a c5 vette compared to a ws6? Also how does the c5 compare to the c6?

vette's ride like ass if you're bigger than 5'10 and 150lbs. IMO, and it's just my opinion, the only thing the vette has going for it over the f-body is reputation and appearance.

Granted, my comparison is in a C5Z06.
But I felt right at home in it. 6 foot 245 or so at the time.

As for handling....get yourself into a Z06 if that is what you are looking for.
I would trade Slowass off for a Z with low miles straight across.

I traded in a 2000 Corvette for a 2000 WS6... The corvette handled better, but i like my Trans Am better, don't regret at all trading in the Corvette. Everyone thinks I'm nuts though?

Corvette is cheaper to insure, atleast for me and I am sure for others. Even a C5Zo6 was cheaper to insure then my 98 T/A.

According to progressive the difference between an 02 Z28 and an 02 vette per a 6 month policy is double.

Ok there is alot of bullshit in this thread.

I have a 00 Camaro SS and a 09 3LT LS3 Vette (yeah I know, it's a c6)

The Camaro is more expensive to insure. That is true. Corvette get wrecked far less then FBodies. They're also safer from a crash standpoint.

Some guys like pony cars, so of course they'll say they like the FBody better. But the vette outperforms the FBody in almost any catagory, especially the FRC Vettes.

The corvette does everything better. The handling and braking is leaps and bounds better. The vette is quicker. I find either car to be comfortable (I have driven many F bodies, and C5/6 corvettes). And although looks are subjective, I find the corvettes to be better looking cars. And the vette is definitely cheaper to insure with every single insurance company ever, except Progressive

How big of a difference Is their between a c5 and a c6 ?
