Never could watch any form of racing on television. I need to watch it live.

Daytona was just further proof of how much teams have fucked that sport up. Greg "fish eyes" Biffle was content finishing second because it was his team mate in front of him. Wonder if he would've tried to make a move if he was 2nd behind someone else? Bet your ass he would've. I was glad to see Jr pass him to take second away but I would've much rather seen Jr spin him and put him in the wall long before that.

I know his pappy would have....
I also miss the old T Steward, you know the one that used to fight in and out of the cars, pit area, etc. He made it worth watching, now it's too civilized. I loved the grudge matches etc....
I only watch maybe 3-5 races a year, mostly something to kill the time till Football season starts, once it starts I'm like what's Nascar?Last edited by SMWS6TA; 02-29-2012 at 06:39 AM.

Question:
How many stock car drivers does it take to crash a car, a truck, a jet, and set the track on fire?
Answer: Just Juan!

back when Dale was racing I was a huge nascar fan.....watched it religiously every sunday. After he died it became harder to watch and now I just end up pissed off. Nascar has neutered the drivers so much and it's gotten to be so much about image that the racing aspect of it has taken a back seat.

I wouldn't go that far....the racing back then wasn't that great either really. You had drivers back then like Petty that would lap the whole field. It was better than it is now but it was very lopsided. You have a couple of good cars in a pack of cars that weren't even close. For me the racing was better in the 80's and early 90's but that was during Dale's reign so that probably has a lot to do with it. I hate the racing now and I hate the drivers attitudes. You hear an interview with someone and they had a great day finishing 9th. That's not a great day....you lost. I think they should only pay the top 3 every race.....then you'd see some damn racing. I also think you should have to own the car to drive it. That gets rid of the teams and now everyone has a reason to win.
It's just gotten too big in general. Too much money and too many sponsors.
