She's off to the government baby sitter. My girl is one so I have a couple of years to go. She was 2 lbs 15 oz when she was born. Two months premature. Now she is trying to walk and talk. so fast

no govt. babysitter here...we pay tuition and it's a damn sight more expensive than a babysitter.

Very cute kids. Just a few more years and you'll be pushing them off to college. Time flies.

thanks guys. She's gonna be a little bad ass. She'll be able to take care of herself nicely. I guess most girls with an older brother are probably like that. She doesn't take shit from him and it takes very little for her to go from nice to cranking him upside the head with something. He never see's it coming either.

You guys are making me feel old. My youngest will be 14 in just over a month and my oldest graduated from a 2 year program in May.

Enjoy it while you can -- it goes FAST!

what is the point of kindergarten any more?? I never attended pre-school myself, I don't think it was big back then. What's the deal. What are they going to learn.

really it's more of a socialization thing more than anything else IMO. I never did the pre-school thing but that's been over 30 years ago......they didn't even have pre-school back then. I do think it helps the kids. I know it helped my son doing pre-school. I'll give them whatever help they need to make the most out of their lives.

I agree. It's teaches them how to interact with others early on. It prepares them for kindergarten.

Oh, and, we had preschool when we were kids. Either our parents could not afford it, or they felt it was unnecessary.

the town I grew up in had less than a thousand people in it.....I'd almost bet there was no pre-school there. Even if there was I doubt mom would've sent me to it but who knows.....I was 4 and have no memory of it.
