depends on the woman and what you are looking for...if you want a family or are open to the idea then go for it...if you are against it, then you need to walk away before getting too involved.

when I was single I would've said "hell no" although I did date 2 girls with kids by mistake. Now that I have a family my answer is "hell no". It's pretty shitty but if you don't have kids yourself I think you won't understand a lot she does and at some point you'll take it personal. People with kids understand that they come first over all else. Those without can't begin to fathom just what that means. It could work and it does for lots of people but the odds are terrible.

This is assuming they are a good parent. You'd be surprised how many today are not. I've dated a few girls with kids now and they acted no different than girls without kids. By that I mean they wanted nothing but sex and no commitment.

I'm 42 single, never married, no kids, and at this age, people have already lived a life...they're just starting over.

give it a try...at least they're not yours, you have no responsibility to them. Just be that cool dude to them.

Amen to the very last sentence...be nice to them, dont be a dick. My dad left me and my mom when I was less than a year old so I went through my fair share of a$$hole boyfriends as a kid...my stepdad "I call him dad" is one of the best things that ever happened to us.

TO THIS DAY...I know of 2 guys that I could beat into the pavement on sight. They were plain out mean to me when they came around...

I have mixed emotions about it. I have no experience with it either. But there's some good advice in here. Be nice to kids and try not to get too attached. I'd imagine it'd be hard leaving kids you like because she's a bitch or whatever issues she has.

I don't like the fact that the "dad" will always be around in a lot of cases. Not always, but likely. You eventually really like this woman and become extremely attached and then with the kid too. You will never be "the dad". Now if there was no father figure around, that would be a little different IMO.

Either way, a woman with kids will have a lot more responsibility and less time for you, and you need to understand and be OK with that and never let it bother you.

Fuck chicks with kids. I dated two of them. Yuo'd think they'd cut you a break now and then cause you have to put up with so much extra shit but no. They were both fucking bitches. I held out and happened to meet my wife who was 10 years younger than me, with no kids. We now have our first.
