Holy crap! There is absolutely no reason that should've happened! Is that where it was parked? Legally on a normal white curb? Someone needs an ass kicking...
Do you have any proof that it was a city/county vehicle that did it? Have you contacted the city/county about it? I am steamed for you, I can't imagine how pissed you must be!

That's not cool, but at least you know they are insured. Hope things go well with the repairs.

there would be hell to pay.
BTW Op you know your going to get a little for parking it on the street. Still no excuse for the guy to hit your car.

Can't aways park in driveway or garage... If you park you car in a legal spot there is not excuse for someone to hit it... In the studio down in Orlando, I only have one garage parking spot, so the Falcon goes in there. We have free parking up and down our street, so I would park the Corvette down there, untill I sold it.

As far as the wheels go, since only 1 looks to be damaged, they're going to want to just replace that. So not sure how you could stretch that into new wheels all around.

I would go through your insurance company. They have the lawyers to be able to battle the city for it. Most of the time you have to get quotes from some body shops then pick one and have the work done. If you have crappy insurance you might have issues. You will not be able to replace the factory wheels. I'd still get all my pricing from the dealer because their wheels, hood and panels are more likely to cost more. Also most of the time you can't just buy 1 wheel, most places want to sell you only one. You will need to be very insistant that they replace the wheels and match all 4 together. Sometimes if you show them the comparison between factory and aftermarket (being cheaper) they will go for the cheaper of the 2
