DAMN, I wish I can do what my GF did.

So I am home on the phone with my GF who is driving home after work in a middle of the night.

This is how the conversation went:

Her: I am driving 70 MPH and there is an asshole tailgating me. I just don’t understand why he doesn’t just go around.

Me: Do a Brake-check on him.

Her: I think his windshield is dirty. I'll clean them. (Turn on her windshield washers on)

Me: did he back off?

Her: Yeah he even turned on his wipers on. (Laughing)

Me: ok, that’s enough, just let him pass you or something.

Her: Hey, since he backed up, the headlight on the car look like a Crown Vic headlight.....hold on...

Me: hello? (5seconds later)…hello?

Her: hold on.

Me: What are you doing?

Her: (silence, and then I hear a man's voice) Good evening ma’am, License, Registration and insurance please. The reason why I pulled you over is because you were doing 70 in a 55, you were swerving and you were talking on your cell phone. (Silence)....... (10 seconds later) alright Officer Batista, have a good evening and please slow down......ohh yeah, thanks for the car wash.

Me: (hung up the phone accidentally from laughing so hard)

Damn I wish I can do that to a cop.

No the state trooper was tailgating her so close that she could not see the headlights untill he backed off.

that was pretty cool to get out of it but still kind of pisses me off b/c a cops job is to "keep people safe" right? then of all people shouldnt an officer be ticketed since they obviously know better and are blatantly breaking the law just like any other person on the road

1. Professional courtesy

2. To avoid COP wars.

There is already a NJ State Troopers vs. NYPD war.

Ya know, Ive wondered that since I started THINKING about driving. That tailgating shit is just plain dangerous.
