awesome movie, i enjoyed every second.
might piss off the fundamentalists, though, and i've heard it already has.
and i'd definately bang the chick that tom hanks runs around with the entire movie.

haven't seen it yet but I think it's funny the critics are having their way with it...

"[A] wishy-washiness and its general tonal flatness betray a clock-punching mentality the cast and crew seem to have adopted for its production."
"A jumbled, joyless affair that neither entertains nor enlightens."
"You know a movie's a dud when even its self-flagellating albino killer monk isn't any fun. "

I've talked to two people who've seen it and they thought it was really good, well worth seeing.
I guess Christians around the world are demonstrating against it... so the raging controversery gives it another dimension as well.

Why would it piss off the fundamentalists? It's fiction.... it's only a movie, nobody ever said it was based on any facts!

Uhh yes it was... the Bible is a compilation of man-made books, determinted by a man-made council in the year 325.
Fact was inserted into the book at random parts. Regardless, I could care less, I am not religious.

Well regardless of what you believe about religion, the movie is based on the book which was never meant to be anything more than fiction. The author was writing a story... he was NOT trying to say anything about it was REAL!!!

What is pissing off the fundamentalists is the fact that this movie might brainwash some people before the fundamentalists get a chance to brainwash them.

Captaincaveman, LOL the fundalmentaists are really afraid of the whole thing plus they keep saying how the story is a bunch of made up stuff, well "IT'S FICTION" even if the author claims some factual stuff. The media tried to make it sound like a stupid movie but I hear it did real well at the box office, I havn't seen it yet but have read the book which was real good.

If you thought that movie was good, you obviously haven't read the book. The movie is a horrible interpretation of the book, skipping large parts, changing characters and ruining a good part of the story.
For those who haven't read the book - enjoy the movie, then read the book and REALLY enjoy the story. For those who've read the book, skip the movie - it's a waste of $8.00

i cant think of anything more fictitious then the bible personally. damn book should come with a disclaimer. best part is believers need the book interpreted and explained to them not unlike when we had story time at the library when we were lil.

If a movie skews your entire perspective on your faith, you have bigger problems. Fundamentalists grow up.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
i hated religion once i went to college. the book was bad ass. as i read it, i said "this needs to be a movie, it's allready written like one!" low n behold they did a damn good job with it.
I liked how the movie showed people what the book couldn't. Not everyone knows what the Louve and the grand master's works look like. I thought the cinematography was done well. Good cast too. Wouldn't expect tom hanks, but he did a great job.
My only upset was a lot of the lines were slurred b/c of the dialects and accents. Some of the most important cues were lost if you didn't read the book.
I really don't think it was as "eye opening" as the book was though. I really don't think a hardcore religous person's views would be changed from it. Then again, i read the book and thought "wow! that's amazing" sooo i was kinda softened from the blow.
good movie. definatly worth seeing. Maybe a good date movie b/c it's one that you could discuss afterward then face fuck her when she doesn't agree. LOL!

The book was definitely better, but the changes to the movie were made because they had to be. A movie has to "flow" unlike a book, so even though I didn't like some of the changes they were necessary. I also recommend reading the first book, "Angels and Demons".
