Wow, even had Nebraska won the Big 12 title game, they would not have been playing Bama for the BCS title. Most likely TCU would have ended up playing Bama for the title had Nebraska closed out Texas in the conference championship game. Nebraska has made long strides in their way back to becoming a national power, but there is no way they have any claim to be playing for the BCS title this year, even had they beat Texas.
