It is only because the public has proof of what he did, and the news station got it first that he had to be let go. If he was pulled over on the road doubtfull anything would have happened.

Had his name been Brian O'Conner, formely of the LAPD, he'd have made a deal and been left alone.

FINALLY

Its about time that a cop gets busted. A good majority of them think their above the law and can do whatever they want to basically because they know if they get pulled over another cop would warn them and let them go.

We as daily drivers or .. others who race on the roads even who speed and break the law dont get free passes. So neither should he. He knew what he was doing he just didnt care. So he got what he deserves. He quit before he could be fired and have that on his record. And now hopefully the State troopers will prosecute and take his damn license just like they take any other persons license caught racing endangering others lives.

My thing is this COPS ARE NOT ABOVE THE LAW. This would go for anything. If he committed some type of theft and got caught hed be arrested.. same for arson, rape, assault & battery or anything that is a serious crime such as this where others lives are endangered or risked. He played with fire and got burnt. This story is nothing. I live in Las Vegas, out here recently a Nevada state trooper was speeding "in his patrol car" no lights no siren and not on any type of call. No reason for speeding whatsoever and crashed into the back of a car of 6 (which was only doing the speed limit at 65 )The officers car was traveling at 113mph when it plowed into the back of their car, killing all but one 16 yr old pregnant girl. He walked away with some cuts and bruises and the one girl who survived was hospitalized as well.

And for those who might be ignorant enough to say something about the people being illegal immigrants, and say they wouldnt have been killed if they werent here..

Ill be the first person to stand up and say I believe all illegal immigrants should be deported and we should stop the in flow of them at our borders. but those were people .. if it wasnt their car it wouldve been the next car in front of them that he would have plowed into and killed everyone .. so their nationality or citizen status makes no difference in this

Right after I finished the academy and was out with some friends I got busted for street racing. Not only did the cop nail me to the wall, the judge made an example out of me in court. I almost lost my job over it and it ended up costing me about $5,000 total. You would be suprised at how little "professional courtesy there is in the L.E. world when you are doing things like racing. I have been let go for speeding a few times but I have been cited more times then let go with a warning.
