My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
cool story
Over the weekend, Michelle and I were coming back from the Ohio Renaissance festival and went to stop at McDonalds. There was an 03 z06 sitting in the middle of the business road and an older, classier looking guy on a cell phone just wondering around it. So I did my LSx duty and stopped to help. I introduced myself, and asked what's wrong, "it just died," he said. So I asked for the keys and tried to start it. No power. Dead battery. Popped the hood and noticed that the little light inside the hood was on, checked the dash again and saw the clock on. So i tried to start it again, thinking the hood movement jiggled a wire. Nope. So i started yanking on wires, opened the fuse panel and made sure evrything was tight. He said the car only had 4000 miles on it and he rarely drives it. It was a manual too. I figured if anything the infrequency of it being driven had totally drained the battery just from running little shit like the clock, etc. Well, the traffic was just TOO busy for me to pull along side and stretch jumpers, and he had allready called AAA, so I reached out to shake his hand and bid him a quick repair, when WHAM-he slaps a 20 dollar bill on me and said "Thanks so much for trying!" I was awestruck...I wouldn't ever expect that...so he basically paid for my McDonalds and our trip to the Ren-Fair =)

sorry i had a rare moment with something funny to say
but that's cool about the vette dude... it's hard to find people to help you when something like that happens and sometimes hard to find a z06 owner that isnt a jackass

I dont know why, But It is really hard for me to take money from people for doing a quick fix on someones car. I know its stupid... I have had my parents friends drive to my house just to for tail light problems etc..... they always offer to give me some cash. I just dont/wont take it for some reason.
Ether way, at least you got to attempt to start a ZO6.

you would have driven 200 miles to hang w/me? I'm flattered! [it was in waynesville]
anyway, you guys have to understand, he caught me off gaurd, i was allready heading away from him and he pretty much shoved me off once the cash was in my hand. Honestly-i did say "this isn't necessary, you don't have to do that" but the man urged me to take it as he buried his wallet back in his pocket. c'mon guys, you think I'm that petty?
