Concealed Hangun License

How many folks conceal carry on here?
I do. Texas is fairly simple. Background check. Class/Shooting Range qualifying/Fingerprints and some pictures of your ugly ass and your done.
How hard is it to get CHL in other states?

Not happening in Jersey, unless your connected to someone in the Gov't. I really hate this state.

If it were possible, I would have a .45 Desert Eagle on my hip and a nice nickel crowdpleaser in my trunk and my second home would be a firing range to blow off some steam.

Depends on the county but in general it's hard as shit to get a CCL here. But with Sac county letting go of 200 something deputies the sheriff wants to make it easier.

Take a course, fingerprints, swear under oath all info is correct and background check.

big time pain in the ass in new jersey. The state government prefers you try to fist fight your armed attacker. You know, its much better for thugs and hoods to have guns illegally then make it reasonable for good american citizens to exercise their rights responsibly.

Pretty easy in Michigan, Pictures, finger prints etc. Have to go in front of the 'committee' and explain why you want one. Having a CPL would be nice just to travel with the pistol from shooting range etc. Takes roughly 4-6 weeks as far as I understand.

21 in all the states I know of. Plus... A person must be 21 years of age to purchase a handgun or handgun ammunition, and 18 years of age to buy a rifle or shotgun or ammunition, from a retail firearm dealer.

My buddy that is here with me took the course/range, fingerprints and background check. 85 bucks and I dont remember him telling me anything about an oath lol, whats the oath to?

Illinois does not have conceal carry laws. In Chicago one cant even own a handgun unless you are law enforcement. Indiana has conceal carry and you can get a lifetime permit.

Here in Texas 21 unless your active duty military then 18. Now many States do not like it that Texas allows CHL for 18 year old active duty military (like Colorado) and do not reciprocate with Texas because of that. Now how stupid is that? Kid carries a M16 and is on the line to die for his/her country and some pussy ass states do no want them licensed for CHL. Just unreal....

All we had was a paper we signed that said we swear all info was true and correct.
