Computer Stuff
After seeing my Friends (Mike's02Z28M6) new PC running all the new games at 50-100+ FPS. I thought it was time to upgrade my old P4 which had an ATI X1300 Pro Vid card.(Playing at 20-30 FPS really sucked.)
So decided I would go for broke and build a new PC. (Damn you Mike)
I just picked up an:
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6600, 4MB L2 Cache, 2.40GHz, 1066MHz FSB.
DDR2 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400 800MHz Dual
ATI Radeon X1900 XTX, 512 Megs, Crossfire Ready
Asus P5W DH Deluxe Intel® 975X Express Socket LGA775 ATX Motherboard. Supports Crossfire
I hope its fast enough.

The Raid 0 will add major drive access speed due to the data stripping. You can always get 2 more drives and set up the 0+1 for the best of both.

That's what backups are for. Your an F-body guy so it's all about the speed!

That's the way to do it unless you want to go crazy with the pricey SCSI stuff.

SCSI was nice a fast. I saw a difference when I switched from it to SATA. But it just wasn't worth the cost for the speed.
