Computer gurus enter help :(
I just put together a new system, but windows isnt detecting all the ram
I have XP Pro installed with both SP's but its only detecting 2gb of ram.
I have 4 in there total (motherboard can take 8) but I thought WinXP Pro could use THREE gigs of system ram, no?
I have a p duo 6700, dual ati x1900s and when they are running in noncrossfire mode, i get good graphics but a benchmark almsot exactlf half of what i get when i enable crossfire, BUT there are graphical artifacts all over sometimes if crossfires enabled, what gives?

Try the old remove & replace trick, sometimes you just don't get the stick in right.

Also be aware that when you use 4GB of RAM, Windows XP will automatically allocate almost a full gig of RAM for Virtual Memory and XP will report your memory as 3GB by default.

Yea thats what I was expecting... not 2gb... but the thing that really bugs me is that it HAD 3gb posted for 1 session, shut down and power back on and I havent been able to see it since.
