Thumbs down Columbia Valedictorian plagiarizes during speech

The Valedictorian of Columbia University plagiarizes a joke from Patton Oswald during his commencement speech

Only need to watch about a minute and a half from the linked time:

    Then compare with

Yeah, that definitely wasn't there when I posted it this morning

I'd love to see how he dodges that interview question,

"Hey you're the plagiarizer right? Riddle me this, if you're just going to steal other people's work, wouldn't it be a better idea for me to skip a step and just steal the work myself, instead of hiring you; saving the company time, money, space, and probably a company-paid defense team when someone becomes aware of your unsubtle theft?"

Did I expect that there aren't shady people in prestigious institutions? Nah.

Did I expect that shady people at said prestigious institutions would be more intelligent about what they choose to plagiarize considering they completed one of the hardest secondary curriculums in the nation? Yeah, I did, but I don't mind being wrong because the situation brings much lulz

I don't think most people expect the valedictorian to plagiarize. Maybe most of the students in one way or another, but not the valedictorian.

You're right on both counts most likely. I do not hold "Ivy League" schools to be any better than other high ranking schools which are not in the northern "Ivy" clique. Judging by the corrupt caliber of people that come out of those institutions I don't think they deserve the awe and worship of the rest of the country. This is yet another supporting piece of evidence towards my opinion.
