for most of the kids currently graduating it is. lots of kids cant get jobs in the things they majored for. however yeah, college will get you a good starting salary and you'll always have some doors open for you. But i think its more advantageous to be a mover and a shaker. I've worked with college grads that are absolutely worthless when it comes to actually doing anything. Everything is managing this, and organizing that. Not actually DOING. my 2 cents.
I wish i went to college just for the sex and debauchery

the prime example as i've stated before to you guys is the 27 yr old business major that is fitness director at my gym. He's only been actually lifting since he was in college. So the actual practical knowledge of the topical is actually minimal at best. He subscribes to every "fad" workout there is and runs that shit into the gym accordingly. But as far as "managing" is concerned, he'll micromanage the position of random objects in the the gym, stresses out over the most retarded shit. THere will be a task or something that needs to get done, instead of just having 2 people do it and knock it out, everything is this big fuckin organization and analysis instead of just freakin doing it. It drives me crazy. He wanted 12 exercise mats for this big 135 anniversary of the Y for demo purposes picked out right, so he asks me to go get em and gets all specific about where they came from, for over 10 minutes! In the time he was still talking I went and got them all for random spots so it was all even. Just stupid freakin crap that is overanalyzed. Just hustle, shut up, and do it. Like I wonder how many of these people actually know anything.
I talk to him all the time and blow him away with my actual knowledge of diet an exercise meanwhile hes the director. Everything he knows he learned there. Its sickening.

college is a business just like any other,i mean they are trying to make money, and when you have everyone in america (or now amerika?) thinking you HAVE to go to college, they have the market cornered.too much is made of having a college degree,i work with people with degrees and make the exact same money.just having a degree does not mean you will automatically get a 100k a year job.

yeah when they find out the college kid cant actually DO anything. Yeah they took more tests, wrote more papers, and got a piece of paper saying shit. But can they actually DO anything. It doesnt mean they are useful in the workforce. Hell im convinced 3/4 of the motivation of kids to go to college is so they can have mom and dad pay for everything while they live alone unsupervised with no bills and bitch about how they are a "poor" college student, and fuck every single night. Thats why i wish i went! To get some ass every single day

They can "think" about doing something, but can't actually do anything. College teaches you to "think"(so they claim) but not to actually perform.
My first 3 years of college were covered by scholarship. My last 2 years were student loans. I HATE making that $100/month payment. Every month I am reminded how much of a waste those 5 years were.

It really pisses me off how im out working 50 hours a week paying bills and people are still going to college and comming back home to nothing. One of my good friends went to Lincoln Tech in Indy and spent 2 years to get automotive/paint certified to come back to NO jobs. Everyone I know takes random BS college classes, and still will have to get a shitty job unless they move whereever the job is. Woman is going to school to be a radiologist... ill set back and let her take care of the bills

god damn, you sound bitter dude. i paid for everything when i went to college, at times i had two jobs.
that youtube video is pretty much a joke. if youre going to study meteorology you better be fucking good at it, the world doesnt need more weathermen. and what the hell is human development anyway? just like anything else, some people succeed and some fail.

You couldn't be more off base with that statement. My geometry teacher (obviously a math major) told me in high school I'd never make it in the career world since I struggled to pass his class. Well, when I graduated college and got a great starting job, my best friend from high school told me he ran into the 'ol teach, bagging groceries. Who's the successful person enjoying their job now, huh?
