College Folks- where do you buy textbooks?

I like to price shop for books rather than going through the University book store (B&N).

I've used CHEGG.com before to rent textbooks, but sometimes I purchase them outright.

Can you recommend any online textbook stores?

B&N online store is usually 1/4 to 1/2 the price cheaper then the campus stores.

Another option is a electronic textbook program. They are a lot cheaper plus they are stored on your computer.

My Master's Program is online although there's a fixed campus (Drexel University), so there's a campus bookstore but they also have an agreement with B&N online.

always treated me good, great prices, and you're able to sell em back on there too just as easy as it is to buy em

It's like a subsidiary of ebay, and its really easy to use

before we had electonic textbooks i used abebooks.com
but i highly recommend trying to get the electronic versions.
look up vitalsource, like a virtual bookshelf program to download the txt.
benefit is that once the text is purchased you can download it up to 2 computers, access it from any other computer with an internet connection plus download the program to iphone/itouch allowing you to view the book during convienent moments like a nerd. lol
    average price is 70/book.
through my school they worked out a program with a printing company to print out the book for 2cents a page. I was able to get all 4 books for all four of my classes for 92 bucks!

half.com is pretty good. But I usually go to the campus bookstore here. It's now run by B&N and they have pretty good prices.

If you have a Nook or Kindle, can you download school text books?

A few but not many. Most textbook companies wont allow the books on ereaders due too the whole ability to share between units and its harder to control what happens to the books. Nook has a app for your computer called Nookstudy you can get etextbooks using.
