I say the SS ... bigger market of buyers .... Dont think either will come close to a 1st gen as being collectible though...

Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
1999 30th Trans Am.
Personally, the SS has a much better color. I love the CETA, but that collector edition red SS is just a sexy car.

I've seen several ... I think they're called Parakeet Yellow TA Verts and/or other 'Birds get big time dollars or they're still getting their sticker ... and/or depending on the type of Pontiac *Bird* that you would want to check out.
Mileage is a big factor.
The Anniversary SS in red/silver stripes typically gets much lower.
But once again mileage is a factor.
I cannot make this distinction as to why 'Birds get so much and may be a better collectors than the SS other than their *nominal* production numbers.
I sold my SS hardtop 2 years ago here on the board for 15 grand with 30,000 miles on it, but as it turned out it was a factory LS6 design and the new owner has been offered 25 grand for it and says he will never sell it.
Factory SLP cars would be a good investment in my opinion.
In my opinion the 4th gens won't see *big dollar* collector value until they are at least 10 years old to 20 years old.

any 98/99/00 formula ws6, these cars have very low prodution numbers. they made less of these than the ss/firehawk. try to find one.

i'm not so much going to buy one to make money on down the road just want to be a little different going down the road. like, you see mustangs all over the place, what about this gto? i heard the ride is way more comfortable and interior noise is far less. i'm still trying to get used to the exterior of the gto. anyway, i'm just getting opinions before i test drive. thanks.

Well I sold it here on the forum 2 years ago and and made a mention of it here on AAG 2 years ago after I sold it and after I was informed of what it was by the new owner.
The debate 2 years ago showed it was a true LS6 motor from the factory.
So I thought that was the end of that. Car sold, deal done. Over.
This other member called me out on it 2 years ago and a bet ensued which he denies he made but keeps bringing it up over these last 2 years like I'm full of sh*t for some reason and it's because he welched on the bet and is still trying to get out of it like I even give a sh*t anymore because as it turns out he instigates to try and get me banned which is what happened last time when I told him to shut up and paypal me.

1998 Firehawk
Some 01 and most 02 V8 F-Bodies had LS6 blocks in them. Nothing special.
