    Unhappy cleaning laptop lcd screen

    i was a dumbass and tried using a windex wipe, it left streaks galore,

    i then tried to get rid of the streaks with an alcohol wipe designed for glass/ lcd screens etc...

    that didnt do it so i tried a bit of water on a knapkin that didnt do it either, they arent permanent becausei can wipe them with my finger but its annoying as hell to have a streaky screen..

    Have you tried the lcd screen wipes yet? they work good on the non glossy screens but on my hp pavillion with the glossy screen I have yet to find anything to work.

    Dawn diswashing detergent....make up some soapy ass water....soak a dry clean rag in it...squeeze it out to where its just wet but not dripping....clean that sum biatch up good.....dry it off with a dry towel.....

    i just got that windex shit off by finding a fine fabric t shirt and dampening it and just scrubbing the screen it looks fine now

    Here's the trick. what you need to do is like Sarge said but the key is to dry it off quickly but evenly-back and forth or up and down. Just make sure that the cloth you use to dry it off with is very soft and non abrasive.

    what i do on my laptop is take out the battery and hose the laptop down and then let it sit and dry for a couple of days, i then turn it back on and its perfect!
