Clean car addiction?

I can't help myself, I need to keep my car spotless at all times. My girlfriend thinks and crazy and says I wash my car too much. I keep all my detailing equipment in my trunk and I'm always busting out a rag to clean some spec of dirt on my car. Anyone else have this problem? I guess what it really comes down to is performance. We all know that a clean car is faster.

I'm pretty anal about it too. Altough I can never keep my black car spotless, as soon as I get done washing it theres dirt all over it.

I like mine better washed... I do it quite a lot during the summer... but I'd need a much better car to care to washed it everytime it got dirty. I washed it about a week ago, and now there are some bugs on the front clip and rubber on the fender behind the rear wheels.

i'm the same way, tho the paint on the ol 98 is going south slowly, i wish i had it when it was new because i would have taken way better care of it.

on that note my mosquitos and insect collection is caked on, and i didint wanna scrub to hard to prevent scratching...how am i to egt them off, let them soak?

I'm a clean freak too. I keep everything clean....well as much as possible with a black car. But I wipe the engine and engine bay down after every wash. Also I keep everything underneath clean too. I'll put it on four jack stands, pull the wheels and then get on the creeper with a rag and cleaner.

I used to wash mine two or three times a week.

But now, I wash it when it is dirty and I have time. I have other things to help occupy my time.

But I do understand the sickness

That is some of it. Had a pesky leak at the backing plate of the Moser as well. Just a seal but I have been lazy.
Track residue doesn't help either.
