Chicago Bears improve to playoffs ??

After the players they picked , mostly Peppers, will they be playoff contenders this year ??

Chester Taylor, Julius Peppers and Brandon Manumaleuna are introduced as Chicago Bears on Friday.

No, they still have no WRs and a terrible offensive line and won't get any help from the draft since they used this years draft picks to help acquire Cutler. With Peppers and Urlacher(returning from injury) they should be a very good defensive team, but probably won't have enough offense to get past Minn or GB.

Taylor will help with the offense , maybe will get something in the draft ...
but yea Cutler is the biggest piece in the puzzle , maybe one these years he will grow up...

you nailed their offensive woes. forte and taylor can be a good tandem though. minn w/o favre goes back to mediocre status. but i haven't payed any mind to news so i don't know his situation. gb will win that division. johnny knox is their only good reciever and everyone in the nfl knows it. so it is really up to forte to hold onto the ball. o line still sucks on their best days.

I give props to Chicago, they definitely improved their status............is it enough? We'll see I guess!

No one will know what Favre is doing until 3 weeks prior to the season starting. If he is going to play next year, he will "skip" training camp again and just keep everyone in limbo. I do agree, if Favre doesn't play, Minn goes back to middle of the pack team and 2nd place in the division would be up for grabs, with GB being the top team in that division.

I do agree, Chicago has improved with these signings, just don't think they are a contender still yet.

They did pick up some nice grabs. Their defense should be good this year.

Yea, they have the whole draft to do that .. and prob more guys will be let go as draft day gets closer ...

You do realize the Bears traded a lot of draft picks last year to get Cutler. As of right now, the Bears do not have a 1st or 2nd round pick. Unless they make a major move between now and April 22nd, they have very few draft picks this year, and none in the early rounds.

I dunno, last good one I remember was Jim McMahon, and he was a better leader than he was a QB, his on field skills were not that fantastic really. They have had some real crappy ones over the past 2 decades though.
