You do realize your last line of the conversation can make you lose your CCW? Do not make a threat with your weapon. Use it in a situation where you are in fear for your life. That means not reaching for it until he is out of the car, and it also means not telling him he will be shot if he continues.

You are pretty much giving a cop a reason to remove your weapon when you make threats with your weapon and there is no real danger.

Looking at my OP I see how you might have thought I flashed my pistol, let me clarify: 1) I was still in my car and 2) “I reached for it”, placing my hand on my pistol doesn’t mean I flashed it. I saw the situation escalating. It takes less than 2 seconds to draw a gun on someone and less than that to pull trigger. I didn’t know what this A-hole was going to do and when he made the threat of physical harm, I am clear to defend myself.

I am a cripple; I must use a special crutch to walk short distances or a wheel chair, so this means I can't defend myself like a healthy person can.

One may constitute that I made a threat; I was only stating a fact. I am professionally trained in firearms and have a few yrs of combat experience, so I see threats different than the average Joe on the block.

I am all for people who take the time and get trained to have a CCL. Who is to say you were not in fear fo life. But he had a gf in the car. My question would you take her out also? (I know you wouldnt) Could she not say they feared for theirs?

The problem is if the few posters who in this thread cannot agree with your actions a court is not going to.

You had means of escape he was not blocking your vehicle, also you made the threat he would be in a grave practically daring him to try something.

I am all for guns for protection as i do carry myself. I am not for someone with a weapon daring someone to make the next move. In this situation you would be 100% fine if he was a threat however he was not. It does not take a trained eye to see you both were just barking through the fences.
