Anybody still usin' them here? My grandfather decided to give me his old cobra and 3 magnet mount antennas for it.

Antenna is mounted where the spare tire and jack used to be. Magnet base on the rear side of the fender well.

Ran on I-25 to test it and actually picked up a bear report from the truckers. I think thats a pretty damn good test, don't ya think? Plus, the good news is I didn't even have to drill holes to mount it. I used an exsisting screw that was holding the trim together and put it through the bracket into the hole it came from. Fits snug and doesn't get in the way at all. Not bad for a free CB huh?

great idea........I am going to get a hand held cb, will keep it on channel 19 cause the truckers always tell each other where da law is on the interstate....nothing wrong with ole school 2 way radio

Be sure to get yourself a 10 foot antenna and a cool "handle"

We actually had a LOT of people with hem on The Bandit Run... it was fun.. plus it was nice trying to coordinate with 100+ cars as to where we were going when people fell behind, going through Atlanta, when we did see cops, or tires in the road.. they really came in handy. And we could listen to the truckers talking about it.. it was great!
