Carfax?

how much faith does any one put in carfax?

My thoughts are carfax can only report what has been reported. At the risk of dropped ins coverage or insane premiums. I think many accidents go unreported.

Does any one know how carfax gets ists data? Or how reliable it could be?

My cars carfax is (Suprisingly) clean. Which is odd, because the interior panels say that the car endured terrible trauma.

I think if you pay cash and dont go through insurance its not always reported and can be faked but dont kn ow for sure.

that's my feeling. I have obvious over spray on the front air damn and fog lights and unrepared rear bumper scratches. I did find out, to my suprise, it is a single owner car.

well i have 30 days to carfax the heck out of any car i'd like. Ok sometimes i get really bored and just hunt for cars i will never buy.

I carfaxed my car when I bought it. 2 owner car, always serviced every 3,000 miles, never in an accident. True miles when I bought it at 35,000 9 months ago. Well worth the money.
