was just wondering if anyone on here has a carfax membership?

and if so could they run my vin for me

How many times is this going to happen? I'll say this one time. It is illegal for people to run car faxes for other people. This site could get in a lot of trouble and the person giving away the free carfaxes could get their account closed.

They're not good for much anyway except checking for a clear title. It could've been in 10 nasty wrecks and won't show sheet.

If I run a carfax on my Sierra which I bought new it won't show anything. It was damaged by a 4x4 board flying through the air and hitting the front end while I was doing 60mph.

The SS that I traded in last year for my Jeep shows a clean carfax as well but I am sure it had some serious body work done to it at some point before I bought it.

My 94Z28 had a clean carfax but when I traded it for my WS.6 the dealer showed me how they could tell it had been crashed.

So I agree carfax is basically worthless unless the odometer has been turned back at some point
