    Carb'ed LS1

    What are the opinions on this board about the Edelbrock intake for an 800 cfm carb for the LS1?
    I just read a whole thread on thirdgen.org about this. Seems people still like to bicker over fuel injection/ carb performance Etc.

    So what do the new school LS1 guys/ girls think about this retro version of our motor?

    did you see the issue last month :yjink: of high tech gm? something about a carb. LS1?

    Yes I read that and Hot Rod's pushing a carb'ed version to 550hp at the crank

    why cant carb guys have all aluminum motors with great intake and exhaust ports too?

    Give me fuel injection any day. Went thru the carb issues back in the day, no way I'm going back to that sh*t. Maybe if you just want something to run good under full throttle, like at the drag strip, but no more carbs for me for dailey driving.

    i duno.... i like carbed engines as well as FI.

    I got the chance to blueprint etc. a carbed 350 with fastburn heads and tear the shit outta it on a engine dino over and over(so much effin fun).... playin with different jets and odd ball spacers was fun. Finding the sweet spot on a carbed engine can be sweet. We made the highest horsepower and torque that engine had ever seen in the schools history(NADC). There are pros and cons to both i suppose.
