Car dilemmas...
I'm trying to make up my mind on what to do with both of my vehicles.
I no longer want my GC. Nothing wrong w/the car. I just don't like it. If I'm ditching it, I also want to buy something cheaper. Tired of these high car payments. Of course this all hinges on a dealer giving me the payoff amount on the car. I will ride the lease out before I roll over negative equity. I want to sell it. I don't need to sell it.
I have narrowed it down to buying another MAZDASPEED6 (What the GC replaced), '04 Volvo S60R, '04 Audi S4, '07 G35x or maybe newer MAZDASPEED3, but I did vow to not buy FWD again so that's probably out before I even start. As you can see, I want to get back into an AWD vehicle. I would mind a 2003 or so M3 coupe, but that would keep my payments where they are now since I will not be putting any $ down on whatever I buy.
I'm not doing anything till Spring after I demod the GC. I should just demod it & ride the lease out though. Anyone want to take over my lease or buy the car?
Next up is my Cobra. Again, nothing wrong w/the car & I do love having a convertible again, but I can't shake the desire to get a C6 (Hopefully, a C6Z since they can be had for $35k if you shop hard enough).
So my original plan was to sell it in the Spring and bank the $ for the C6Z fund. However, all the times I have been without a 2nd car to play with I have been unhappy. So I was thinking buy a built fox & bank the rest.
I could also finally get my motorcycle license and buy a bike instead & bank what's left, but I don't trust myself 100% on 2 wheels yet.
There is always the option of keeping the Cobra for a while longer while I save what I can for the C6, but piling more miles on the Cobra won't help me maximize what I can get for it.
Opinions? Suggestions? Thoughts?

If you are even thinking about it....just do it.
It took me almost 1 1/2 years of 'thinking about' selling my T/A. Finally did it, and while I am sure I will miss it, I am in a better place financially than before.
And I have a fun vehicle that can haul my kids stuffs.

Black 2002 T/A M6- Green 1997 Ram 4x4
Step 1: Sell Cobra
Step 2: Drive GC to Chevy dealer.
Step 3: Give keys to GC and $$ from Cobra sale to Chevy salesman.
Step 4: Drive home in C6/C6Z.

This has nothing to do w/my OP. Leasing is not for everyone. It works for me as I change cars often. If I bought the GC I would be stuck in it for a long long time. Thanks to the lease I can walk away from it 4/2013 if I don't sell it by then.
If I didn't lease my MS6, I would have had to come out of pocket for the things I needed when I turned it in. Instead I walked away without paying a dime. All I had to do was change tires & oil during the time I owned it. Didn't even need to do brake pads.
